About the Role
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's HR systems, with Dayforce as the primary platform. This role balances hands-on system administration, employee and HR user support, reporting and analytics, and process optimization.
The ideal candidate brings strong Dayforce experience, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work comfortably at the intersection of HR operations, systems, and data.
About the Team
The HRIS Analyst works closely with HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and business partners primarily based in the Boston office, while supporting employees across the U.S., UK, Singapore, and the Netherlands. This role serves as a key resource for both Dayforce system administration and end-user support, ensuring accurate data, effective reporting, and a high-quality employee experience.
The HR technology environment is centered on Dayforce, with supporting tools including Microsoft applications and Power BI, and partnerships with external vendors as needed.
Job Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & Dayforce Ownership
  • Serve as a key Dayforce administration resource, providing support to Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and Talent modules as applicable.
  • Configure and maintain system workflows, business processes, eligibility rules, security roles, and user access.
  • Support Dayforce releases and enhancements by testing functionality, documenting changes, and partnering with HR stakeholders on adoption.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and work with Dayforce support and vendors to ensure timely resolution.

Employee & Client-Centric Support
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee and HR user questions related to Dayforce and HR systems.
  • Demonstrates a positive, team-oriented approach when working, both within HR and cross-functionally.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and professional support with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, job aids, and documentation to support effective system use.
  • Support key HR events such as onboarding, open enrollment, and life-event changes from a systems and user-experience perspective.

Data Management & Data Quality
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee data within Dayforce, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Perform regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data definitions, controls, and HRIS processes.
  • Support data imports, exports, and ongoing file feeds.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc HR reports to support operational, compliance, and leadership needs.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Dayforce reporting tools and Power BI.
  • Track key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, workforce demographics, and compliance indicators.
  • Partner with HR and Finance stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver clear, usable insights.

Project & Process Support
  • Collaborate with HR teams on HRIS-related projects, including system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Gather requirements, perform testing, and support implementation of new features or functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, data quality, and the overall user experience.

Integrations & Technical Support (Secondary Focus)
  • Support existing HR system integrations and vendor file feeds, including benefits carrier files.
  • Participate in integration testing and troubleshooting in partnership with internal IT teams and external vendors.
  • Experience with XML, APIs, or file-based integrations is a plus, but not required to be a primary responsibility.

Qualifications & Education Requirements
HRIS & Dayforce Experience
  • Hands-on experience administering an HRIS, with Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple HR modules and working directly in the system to configure, test, and troubleshoot.
  • Understanding of HR data flows across payroll, benefits, and talent processes.

Reporting & Tools
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products required.
  • Experience with HR reporting and dashboards; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate data and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

HR Knowledge
  • Well-rounded understanding of core HR functions including payroll, benefits, compensation, recruiting, and performance management.
  • Prior experience in HR operations, payroll, or an HR generalist-adjacent role preferred.

Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in HRIS, HR operations, payroll, or a related role.
  • HRIS or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) a plus.

Additional Requirements

Loomis Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 USD. Your starting salary will be based on your experience, skills, qualifications and local benchmarking. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award, which is based on individual and company performance. In addition to your compensation, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being and financial security.
