Job description

"Don't ever let somebody tell you you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you protect it." - Will Smith, The Pursuit of HappynessAbout Premium Merchant Funding

One of the largest brokerage platforms in the alternative lending industry, headquartered on Wall Street. In the last 12 years we have grown from a single office to 26 offices across 4 countries with partnerships across hundreds of lenders and over 30 products and solutions for American business owners who need capital when the big banks say no.

Our Mission: To empower small and medium-sized businesses often overlooked by traditional banks, helping them not just survive but thrive.

The Opportunity

This is a 1099 sales and consulting role with an uncapped commission plan.

You will build relationships with business owners, gather key information, generate funding applications, and submit them to our in-office closing team. Right now our closers are funding 20 out of every 50 applications submitted. 65 percent of our new agents get their first funded deal within 35 days. Any representative submitting two applications a day is on pace to earn $120,000 or more in annual commissions.

Every client you fund becomes a page in a book of business you own. Those pages become repeat customers and referral sources. The ability to genuinely connect with people is a superpower in this industry. And while every other industry is watching AI replace their people, small business owners will never let a machine handle their money. This role is built around human connection and that is not changing.

Requirements

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English are required as this role involves daily interaction with American business owners.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to hold yourself accountable without being managed.
  • Comfortable with high volume outbound phone activity. This is a cold calling role and a resilient mindset is essential.
  • Ability to work in person Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at our Midtown Manhattan office.
  • A competitive and goal oriented mindset. We recruit for drive and coachability over experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply product knowledge quickly. Financial experience is not required but a willingness to learn is non-negotiable.
  • Must reside within 20 miles of New York City. This is a fully in person role with no remote option.
Who We Hire

Veterans and Athletes: disciplined, accountable, competitive, and built for environments where performance is the only scoreboard. Many of our office managers come from this profile.

Greek Life and Club Leaders: our culture was built around the post-graduate experience. Greeks and campus leaders have been running PMF since day one. Many of our closers and team managers come from this profile.

Sales Professionals: if you have worked the door, the phone, or the floor, we will ramp you faster than any other profile we recruit. Many of our top performers and desk managers come from this profile.

Benefits

What We Offer
  • Top performers earn $120,000 or more annually with no cap on earnings.
  • Hands-on training followed by ongoing mentorship and development.
  • A team that plays poker on Wednesdays, celebrates on Thursdays, and competes to be the top office in the company every single day.
  • A clear growth path from entry level to team manager in 11 to 24 months.
