What You Will Do:
The Applications Engineer will work collaboratively with both internal teams and external channel partners to provide industry leading customer experience. The Applications Engineer will be involved in all aspect of the sales process from initial inquiry through order execution. As a critical member of the team, your primary areas of responsibility will include:
  • Work collaboratively on solutions with customers and markets including, but not limited to, Process & Industrial, Compressor & Dryer, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Dairy and HVAC and Refrigeration markets
  • Utilize API software, vendor material quotes and pricing guidelines for sizing, selection, cost estimating and market pricing
  • Develop and maintain the heat transfer expertise necessary to advise and train sales agents, partners and customers on the thermal and mechanical aspects of heat exchangers
  • Generate cost estimates, quotations and perform the necessary follow up activities to facilitate the award of new business
  • Work closely with internal departments throughout the sales cycle to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • As appropriate, provide feedback to be used for initiating product, process and/or marketing improvements.
  • Review purchase orders and resolve discrepancies to thoroughly and accurately process orders
  • Utilize the ERP system to process orders
  • Meet and exceed department objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical engineering, or appropriate, demonstrable experience in Heat Transfer Applications Engineering.
  • Learning aptitude to familiarize yourself with our customers, products, processes and systems
  • Self-motivated individual who seeks solutions rather than problems
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Experience in Heat Exchanger Industry is preferred
