Job description

Behavior Technician BT – Not just a job. A calling

????Brillion, WI | ???? Full-Time | ???? $17.00–$18.00/hour + $750 Sign-On Bonus

We’re looking for a certain kind of person. They kneel at a child's eye level. They patiently bring the same positivity to the tenth try as the first. They celebrate a tiny win like it's the biggest thing that happened all week…because for that kid, it might be.

We call them teammates who change lives. And we don't need you to have experience to be one.

The best part? This is an entry-level opportunity, and no prior ABA experience is required. Whether you're a recent graduate, looking for a career starter, exploring an early-career healthcare role, or simply searching for meaningful work, we'll teach you the skills you need to succeed.

  • Clinical leadership that's there. As an entry-level Behavior Technician, you'll never be on an island. You'll receive hands-on mentorship, ongoing coaching, and support from experienced clinical leaders invested in your growth.
  • Paid training. No experience? No problem. We provide paid training to help you become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Our team will guide you every step of the way as you learn the skills needed to excel in this beginner-friendly healthcare career.
  • A Career Path, Not Just a Job Many of our leaders started in entry-level Behavior Technician roles. With clear advancement opportunities, Caravel is a great place to launch a long-term career in healthcare, psychology, education, or human services.

  • A culture that supports you. Our culture is built on collaboration, learning, and shared success. We believe new team members thrive when they feel supported, encouraged, and valued.

???? What You’ll Do:

  • As an Entry-Level Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with children ages 18 months to 6 years diagnosed with autism in a center-based environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans
  • Building skills through play, connection, and the kind of presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try
  • Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology
  • Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with
  • Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days

???? What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay
    • No RBT yet? Start at $17.00–$18.00/hour with paid training to become an RBT in 45 days
    • RBT certified? Start at $18/hour, with opportunities to grow to $24.50/hour
  • $750 Sign-On Bonus
  • 401(k) with company match
  • $500 referral bonus
  • Paid time off, holiday pay
  • Full health benefits for full-time team members after 30-days
  • 1:1 client sessions—no group billing or overwhelming caseloads
  • A career pathway to become a BCBA with our BCBA Rise Scholarship program that provides up to $10,000 in financial support for your Master’s degree

????This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are:

  • Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
  • Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
  • Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services — experience with children is a plus
  • Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment — we'll prepare you
  • Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed

Why this work? Why Caravel?

At Caravel, we don't just talk about changing lives — we do the work, every day. We help children with autism discover their potential and help their families thrive. We support each other’s progress in our individual journeys and push the industry to improve, day after day.

We turn difficult circumstances into small moments of progress, and eventually into big steps forward. This work isn't luck or magic. It's relentless and demanding — guided by scientific rigor and fueled by the kind of steady, sensitive care that only our teammates can bring.

These Teammates are a rare breed: compassionate, creative problem-solvers who can't help but want to make people's lives better.
