Summary:
This is an entry level position that will support general patient care equipment in a healthcare facility. This role will perform all scheduled maintenance activities and corrective service requests that are assigned. There will be many opportunities to shadow other Biomedical Technician teammates and develop key skills.
What you will do:
  • Perform all assigned preventative maintenance activities and repairs
  • Respond to work orders in a timely manner and collaborate with the biomedical team
  • Order and track necessary parts for repairs using the approved purchasing method for the account
  • Take responsibility for clerical needs, including completeness and accuracy of service reports
  • Track scheduled maintenance (SM) and repair services, monthly status reports, notification to departments of overdue and incomplete SMs and equipment inventory reports
  • Provide updates on repairs to Account Manages and Regional Directors
  • Adhere to all safety and quality regulations for the facility
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Technical acumen and non-technical skills related to team collaboration
  • College Degree, Technical Certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this role preferred
  • CBET preferred

Safety Requirements:
  • Maintain a safe working environment for self and others if they come in contact within the biomed area in accordance with the facility's policies
  • Must follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating device
  • Ontime completion of safety trainings assignments
  • Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colors
  • Must be able be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
