Job description

We are looking for an entry level Health and Safety Administrator to support our operations across the United States from our Headquarters Office in Fort Lauderdale FL. The wage range for this position is $25/hr based on experience and qualifications.
This is a great clerical level position for those pursuing a career in construction Health and Safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with oversight of the health and safety program for all Company employees and all commercial, utility jobsites and offices nationally.
  • Assign jobsite and office safety training and programs.
  • Catalogue appropriate OSHA, HIOSHA and other applicable jurisdictionally required safety processes, policies and procedures, certifications, for reporting/posting requirements at multiple office and site locations.
  • Assist in resourcing and verification of occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations at the jobsite and offices.
  • Review and update programs for safety orientations and onboarding.
  • Coordinate initiatives at the jobsite and office to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards.
  • Assist the Company and employee(s) in any safety or loss control investigations.
  • Provide administrative support for effective safety management and policy.
  • Stock, maintain, coordinate delivery, and review cost effective use of safety resources.
  • Catalogue information and prepare data to be used in safety-related legal proceedings and regulatory hearings as needed.
  • Document entry and tracking
  • Data entry and tracking of collaborations.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and coordinating medical appointments through online platforms.
  • Familiarization with HIPPA recordkeeping requirements.
  • Perform other health and safety-related duties as assigned.
  • Assist with inventory and packaging small order quantities of Safety Equipment and Personnel Protective Equipment

Qualifications Desired:
  • Ability to work full time out of Fort Lauderdale, FL office location.
  • Associate's degree in health and safety, occupational health, Administrative or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and recordkeeping.
  • Must be highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently.
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Workers Compensation case management experience.
  • Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to adapt to new and changing software demands
