Job description

Start Your Career in Behavioral Health Administration

EmotiCare is seeking a dependable, motivated, and highly organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Operations Apprentice. This is an entry-level learning position for someone who has a genuine desire to learn, work hard, and develop professional skills.

The apprentice will work directly with an experienced behavioral health administrator and receive hands-on training in the systems that support a behavioral health organization.

What You Will Learn and Do

Working under direct supervision, the Administrative Operations Apprentice will learn and assist with the fundamental administrative functions of a behavioral health organization. These functions include human resources, employee onboarding, compliance, risk management, quality management, customer service, front-office operations, electronic recordkeeping, and general administrative support.

Initial responsibilities will include electronic filing, organizing personnel records, collecting new-hire documents, assisting with onboarding, and completing routine office tasks. As the apprentice develops knowledge and demonstrates accuracy, reliability, and good judgment, the position will gradually expand to include supervised personnel-file audits, incident-report processing, customer-satisfaction calls, compliance tracking, and other quality and administrative activities.

Who We Are Looking For

·     Dependable, punctual, honest, and eager to learn

·     Organized, attentive to detail, and able to follow instructions

·     Professional and courteous when communicating with others

·     Comfortable asking questions and receiving constructive feedback

·     Able to handle sensitive information with maturity and discretion

·     Familiar with basic computer, email, and typing functions and interested in developing a career in administration or healthcare operations

Minimum Requirements

·     High school diploma or GED, or current progress toward an equivalent credential when permitted

·     Basic computer and communication skills

·     Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries

·     Ability to pass required background and employment screenings and maintain any required fingerprint-clearance card

·     Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Why This Is a Unique Opportunity

This position offers more than routine office work. The apprentice will learn how departments work together to operate a behavioral health organization, with responsibilities increasing as skills and readiness develop. Little or no previous administrative experience is required. EmotiCare will train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, good judgment, professionalism, and a sincere interest in learning.
