Description

SAIC has an opening for an entry level Paint Shop Technician in Indianapolis, IN.

This position will be 2nd shift, 3:00pm EST to 11:30pm EST.

JOB DUTIES:  

  • Perform sanding, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes.
  • Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts.
  • Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.
  • Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures.
  • Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary.
  • Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when necessary.
  • Follow corporate and local office policies and procedures including but not limited to; daily timecard recording and Email checks.

WORK WEEK:

  • Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  • HS/GED.  

BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGMENT REQUIRMENTS:

  • Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes is a plus.
  • Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted.
  • Basic computer skills are a must (Logging in, Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking, etc.).

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation.
