Job description

Dental Territory Manager

About the Role:
A growing dental laboratory is seeking a highly driven, entrepreneurial Territory Sales Representative to develop business within one assigned geography. This role is ideal for a proven dental industry sales professional who understands how to build relationships, generate new business, and grow a territory with a high degree of independence.
The company’s digital workflows and shipping capabilities allow it to support clients beyond its immediate local market, creating an opportunity for the right salesperson to develop strong regional business in a remote geography while being backed by an established laboratory team.
This is not an entry-level sales opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring meaningful dental industry sales experience, strong market relationships, and the ability to represent a high-quality laboratory partner to the dentist community.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow business within one assigned territory such as Portland, OR.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dentists, dental practices, specialists, and other key referral sources in the local market.
  • Promote the laboratory’s services through in-person visits, phone outreach, digital communication, and consistent follow-up.
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into long-term accounts.
  • Manage the territory with an entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of pipeline development, client engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Partner with internal leadership and support teams to ensure a strong client experience and smooth case flow.
  • Represent the company at local industry events, meetings, conventions, and networking opportunities.
  • Use social media and professional outreach channels to increase visibility, strengthen connections, and generate leads.
  • Track sales activity, market feedback, and performance metrics, and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers in the assigned region and help position the company as a long-term laboratory partner.
Qualifications:
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within the dental laboratory or broader dental industry.
  • Strong understanding of the dental market and how to develop business with dentists and dental practices.
  • Demonstrated success building and growing a territory independently.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed approach with the ability to create momentum in a new geography.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable with in-person outreach, digital communication, and social media for professional engagement.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within the assigned market.
  • Dental industry experience is strongly preferred; candidates without meaningful industry sales experience will not be prioritized.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary: $70,000–$75,000.
  • 6% commission on net sales generated.
  • Uncapped commission structure.
  • Standard health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Business expenses covered based on approval and actual expenses.
What the Company Is Looking For:
The company is flexible on geography but not on candidate quality. They are seeking a high-caliber sales professional from the dental industry who can step into a territory, build relationships with the local dentist community, and drive meaningful case volume to the laboratory. This person should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with the internal team for sales support and account development.
Why This Opportunity:
  • Opportunity to build and own a territory.
  • Strong support from an established dental laboratory team.
  • Uncapped earnings potential.
  • Ability to sell into a market that can be supported through digital workflows and shipping.
  • A chance to make a real impact in a growth-focused environment.
