STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - ENTRY LEVEL
Location: Eden Prairie, MN | Hybrid
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary Range: $72,000 - $75,000

As a Structural Engineer - Entry Level, you'll gain hands-on experience in structural analysis, design, and drafting within the fast-growing solar energy sector. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to develop a strong technical foundation and grow into an independent design professional.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Perform structural calculations with guidance to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
  • Assist in pile plan production, analyzing foundation loads and soil interactions.
  • Support the development of structural drawings and reports using AutoCAD and industry-standard tools.
  • Pick up and implement redline markups accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure consistency between calculation reports and drawing sets.
  • Participate in QA/QC processes, reviewing work prior to submission and updating documents per reviewer feedback.
  • Collaborate across civil, electrical, and project management teams to ensure cohesive project execution.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of civil/structural engineering experience.
  • Understanding of steel design per AISC and structural design principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn PV (photovoltaic) pile design tools and solar-specific design methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organization, and teamwork skills.
