The Life Enrichment Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of meaningful programs and activities for residents throughout the Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, including Transitional Care, Long-Term Care, and Hospice Care. This position helps enhance residents' quality of life by providing engaging group and individual experiences that promote socialization, physical wellness, emotional well-being, and purposeful living.
This is a full-time position working Tuesday through Saturday, with typical hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional flexibility may be required to support special events, resident outings, and holiday programming.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, coordination, and implementation of life enrichment programs and special events.
  • Facilitate and lead a variety of activities, including exercise programs, educational opportunities, arts and crafts, games, social gatherings, and resident-centered experiences.
  • Set up and decorate activity spaces for programs, holiday celebrations, and special events.
  • Prepare materials, equipment, and furnishings needed for activities and events; assist with cleanup upon completion.
  • Conduct one-on-one visits and individualized engagement opportunities with residents.
  • Transport residents to and from activities and special events safely and respectfully.
  • Accompany residents on community outings, appointments, and special excursions as assigned.
  • Record resident participation and attendance for activities and programs.
  • Maintain activity supplies, equipment, bulletin boards, calendars, and other communication materials.
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, cognitive, or social well-being and communicate concerns to the Life Enrichment Director and appropriate team members.
  • Document resident participation, progress, and observations in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in resident care planning meetings as assigned.
  • Assist with resident transportation and support during emergency situations, including fire and disaster evacuations, following established procedures.
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and resident-focused environment that supports dignity, choice, and quality of life.

Education & Experience
Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Preferred
  • Previous experience working with older adults in a healthcare, senior living, recreational, therapeutic recreation, activities, hospitality, education, or customer service setting.
Experience Level
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Pay Range:
$14.72 - $18.91 per hour
Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $14.72 - $18.91 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
