Job description

Growing Custom lighting Manufacturer based in NYC is looking for a Project Manager a minimum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate for this position will primarily work as a Hospitality Sector however occasional work in other segments such has high end residential or commercial lighting . Preference is given to individuals with FF/E experience working with major hotel brands.
Responsibilities include:
Review incoming orders with quotations department and prepare all documents materials and documents for submission for approval.
Review and manage a Project database using company Software.
Coordinate Designer selections with Engineering and Production departments
Develop and maintain good working relationships with Interior designers and Purchasing Agents.
Assist the Design department in selecting materials to meet the designers expectation while keeping an eye on cost.
Target the reduction in time spent during the Design and Approval process to insure timely deliveries of the final product.
Required Skills :
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Software Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required.
Basic Knowledge materials and finishes
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop would be advantageous.
Must be a team player and possess good time management skills to meet multiple deadlines and track multiple projects at one time.
Demonstrate knowledge of US Customs and Shipping requirements relating to the movement and storage of finished product, as well as communicate to third party vendors.
Required Experience
Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program and NCIDQ certified (or capable of completing certification within the next 12 months) or related experience.
A minimum of 3 years working experience including 1 year in the position of a project team FF/E Specifier. Heavy consideration will be given to individuals with specific Hospitality industry experience.
