Job description

The Peacock Room in Detroit, MI is looking for a part-time stylist to join our diverse team. Part-time status is considered less than 32 hours within a week. We are located at 3011 West Grand Blvd. in the historic Fisher Building. Our ideal candidate is attentive, energetic, and takes initiative. Candidate must have weekend availability. Our regular business hours are 11pm-6pm Tuesday through Saturday, and Sunday 11-4PM, with extended hours until 7:30PM during Fisher Theatre performances. Hours do change throughout the year. This part-time role is currently seeking someone with open weekend availability.


STYLIST

Reports to: Shift Lead, Manager, Owner

Direct Reports: none

Salary Grade: Entry level, Non-exempt, up to 40 hours per week

The Peacock Room Family of Shops’ mission is to enhance Detroit communities through the empowerment of women, attentive service, an awe-inspiring environment, and an offering of quality apparel and accessories.

A stylist will be responsible for all facets of the business. Our stylists will drive sales and keep the store looking presentable through merchandising. They will have a passion for fashion of all decades, our values, and most of all, our customers. The genuine desire to provide attentive service is a must.

A fashion stylist will have a sense of personal style, polished appearance, refined taste and a discerning eye for our clients. They will understand the importance of attracting and retaining customers through marketing of all our brands.

• Ability to maneuver effectively around salesfloor, stock room and any office or storage areas

• Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing
