Neri Building & Development is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Entry-Level Construction Laborer / Tradesman Apprentice.
No extensive construction experience is required. We are willing to train the right person.
This position is designed for someone who wants to learn the construction industry, develop multiple skilled trades, and build a long-term career. You will work alongside experienced tradesmen and equipment operators while gaining hands-on experience across many different types of construction projects.
Unlike a traditional laborer position, you will not be assigned to one type of work every day. Our employees move between projects and trades based on the work underway, giving you the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded construction professional.
Trades You Will Learn
You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in:
  • Concrete – forming, pouring, flatwork, slabs, stamped and decorative concrete
  • Excavation & Site Work – site preparation, drainage, grading, trenching, utilities, and foundations
  • Heavy Equipment – exposure to excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other equipment
  • Carpentry – framing, doors, windows, trim, decks, and general carpentry

Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced tradesmen with daily construction activities
  • Prepare jobsites, tools, equipment, and materials
  • Assist with concrete forming, placement, and finishing
  • Assist carpenters with framing and general construction
  • Assist excavation and site-work crews
  • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials
  • Use hand and power tools safely
  • Perform demolition and jobsite preparation
  • Learn proper measurements, layouts, grades, and construction methods

This Is More Than a Laborer Position

Someone who starts in this position could ultimately develop skills in carpentry, concrete finishing, excavation, equipment operation, site development, and general construction.
