Viking Dredging - Excavator Operator

Immediate Positions available for separate positions for an excavator and dozer operator. This is a great opportunity for an experienced dredger to join our growing team! Excellent pay and benefits. You must have experience in building levees, mass excavation and moving dirt.

Responsibilities for The Excavator Operator

  • Ability to operate various size excavators to raise levees, excavate sediment pits, unload barges and load haul trucks.
  • Have the ability to communicate well with the superintendent and other crew members.
  • Completion of daily reports on a computer.
  • MUST be motivated and able to work independently.
  • Be part of a marine dredging operation as needed.
  • Position will include some miscellaneous laborer.
  • Position will require out of town (Texas) travel for extended periods.

Requirements for All Personnel:

  • You must have experience in operating excavators and dozers for mass excavation, building or improving leveed structures.
  • Must be safety conscious and adhere to company safety policy. Must wear the appropriate PPE as required.
  • The position consists of working up to 12 hours a day for several weeks at a time.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's license.
  • Heavy equipment experience a plus.
  • OSHA Certifications a plus.
  • Boating or Equipment Certifications a plus
  • Be honest, hardworking, reliable, punctual and attitude to get the job done.
