Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Execution / Engineering Design

· Assist in preparing engineering studies (e.g., load flow, short circuit, arc flash) using software like SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.

· Support the development and revision of single-line diagrams and schematics.

· Contribute to CAD-based drawing updates under engineer supervision.

2. Field Support / Site Coordination

· Participate in field walkdowns and collect system data for analysis.

· Provide basic support during testing or troubleshooting tasks.

· Ensure accurate documentation of field findings.

3. Project Support & Collaboration

· Assist in coordinating engineering deliverables with internal teams.

· Support project documentation, scheduling, and status updates.

· Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, and Technicians.

4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

· Learn and apply relevant industry codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).

· Follow quality control procedures for deliverables.

5. Reporting & Documentation

· Prepare draft reports and documentation for review by senior engineers.

· Maintain accurate and organized engineering files.

6. Professional Judgment & Discretion

· Apply foundational engineering principles to solve routine problems requiring the consistent use of judgment.

· Interpret specifications, standards, and design criteria under guidance from senior engineers.

· Exercise discretion in selecting approaches and adapting methods for assigned tasks.

Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills & Attributes):

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

· 0–2 years of electrical engineering-related experience

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SKM Power Tools (or similar power systems analysis software such as ETAP or EasyPower)

· Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

· Ability to apply theoretical knowledge from formal education to practical engineering problems.

· Assignments require analysis, interpretation, and adaptation of standard engineering techniques and procedures

· Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

· Passed or currently registered for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

· Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification, or eligible to obtain within 12 months

· Internship or co-op experience under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

· Demonstrated interest in pursuing PE licensure in the future

Physical Requirements:

This job involves both indoor and outdoor work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

· Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.

· Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.

· Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.

The employee may occasionally be required to:

· Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including intense heat/cold, muddy and wet environments.

· Perform precision tasks with instruments and fittings.
