We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join our growing Transportation team in Springfield, Massachusetts. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of roadway, traffic, and transportation improvement projects throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our collaborative transportation team, you will support a wide range of engineering and project tasks, including:
  • Assisting with the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Supporting transportation and roadway design projects using engineering software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, and Synchro
  • Conducting field investigations, site visits, and inspections
  • Assisting with project coordination and general transportation engineering support activities
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions for public sector clients

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 0-3 years of civil engineering or public works-related experience
  • EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain
  • Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed (approximately 20% in-state travel)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive up to 1.5 hours for site visits
