Job description

Refrigeration Technician Trainee:
This role is best suited for candidates with some mechanical, electrical, automotive, HVAC, or diesel exposure through work, school, or personal experience. At CT Power, a W.W. Williams company, we are looking for mechanically inclined individuals with basic tools and foundational technical knowledge who are ready to grow with our team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with entry-level experience or training in diesel, automotive, electrical, HVAC, or transport refrigeration systems who want to build a long-term career in the industry. Applicants with any of the following levels of experience may apply:
  • Diesel Technology students or graduates/entry level
  • HVAC or refrigeration students/graduates/ entry level
  • Automotive or heavy equipment technicians/ entry level
  • Mechanics with electrical troubleshooting experience / entry level
  • Candidates with basic diagnostic experience and personal tools

What You'll Do:
  • Install Carrier refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and APUs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Assist with refrigeration, electrical, and engine diagnostics
  • Complete entry-level refrigeration repairs and troubleshooting
  • Work alongside experienced technicians to become factory certified

Desired Skills and Qualities:
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Beginner knowledge of diesel, electrical, HVAC, or refrigeration systems
  • Personal starter tool set required
  • Ability to learn diagnostics and repair procedures
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to grow
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus
  • DOT physical required or ability to obtain
