The National Accounts group is seeking Entry-Level Marketing Analysts to join the team in Findlay, OH. National Accounts is a dynamic sales organization that works with large, nationwide fuel buyers across several industries including Aviation, Retail, Transportation, Marine, Utilities and Industrial sectors.

This position is designed to give recent college graduates broad exposure to Marathon’s Commercial Organization and its coast-to-coast fuel supply network in a supported, team environment. You will start your journey with Marathon as part of a training class with other recent college graduates in the National Accounts new hire program beginning in either January or June. Through the program you will gain exposure to sales, supply and trading, logistics, transportation, and analytical support teams that will help new employees frame the diverse career opportunities at Marathon.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains reporting for the assigned business unit, consisting of various reporting responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly and annual comparisons.
  • Utilizes marketing cubes, tools, and applications to support the business. Supports budget and other internal processes as needed.
  • Maintains sales forecasting, sales reporting, and other analytical data.
  • Assists management and business partners in analysis of data necessary to measure profitability of various classes of trade and markets.
  • Works in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to address cases created by customers and submits and evaluate opportunities, operational changes and addresses other internal requests as necessary.
  • Develops general understanding of industry trends, regulations, economic conditions, commercial and consumer needs, MPC marketing strategies and business opportunities.
  • Supports strategies to enhance commercial value. Maintains positive customer relationships and promptly addresses customer concerns.
  • Develops a general understanding of the Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) tools.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics or other related discipline required or (5) years of experience in lieu.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience needed.
