We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Construction Manager to join our team at K&A Power Group in Ohio. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. You'll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Subject Matter Expert in the following areas
  • Transmission Line Construction/Sequence
  • Environmental Compliance to support T Line Construction
  • Proficient in interpreting Transmission Line drawings
  • Identify and assist in the preliminary design of sedimentation & erosion controls for construction projects
  • Participate in constructability reviews for Environmental compliance at 30% design
  • Perform and document EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) safety audits to ensure contractors are compliant with Duke Energy safe work practices.
  • Ensure pre-job briefings or observations are being effectively used
  • Monitor crew productivity.
  • Validate crew timesheets for T&E (Time & Equipment) work upon request
  • Report all safety and environmental incidents immediately to local Duke Energy representative per Duke Energy safe work practices
  • Perform and document on-going QA inspections during construction to ensure job specifications are being met
  • Validate units completed for invoicing
  • Support project documentation and as-built drawings are completed and submitted to the correct departments
  • Provide feedback on contractor performance
  • Provide status reports as needed
  • Ensure coordination of outages with customer, contractor, local operating personnel and System Controlling Authority
  • Constantly evaluates risk present in projects assigned
  • May be responsible for managing multiple projects

Qualifications and Required Skills:
  • Prior knowledge or experience in a Transmission Construction and/or Maintenance organization
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the position (NERC, EPC, State utility regulators, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Resource/Work Management principles
  • Working knowledge of workforce resourcing and contract administration
  • Experience performing H&S safety observations

Pay Range $52-57 hour depending on experience
