Youth Care Technician
$2,500.00 Singing Bonus AND Retention Bonus
Salary: $18.50 base salary + $2-$3 shift differential
Shifts available:
  • 7am-3pm AND 3pm-11pm + weekend availability

Youth Care Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check, and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with youth and/or in behavioral health settings preferred.

Youth Care Responsibilities:
  • Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus.
  • Teach, coach and supervise students in activities of daily living including morning, bedtime and overnight procedures, hygiene and cleanliness, housekeeping, meals, intramurals, sports, academics, and extracurricular activities both on and off campus.
  • Observe the peer culture for patterns of behavior indicating progress or regression in the program.
  • Observe individual student behavior over time and recognize progress towards treatment goals.
  • Effectively communicate, both written and orally.
  • Follow and implement individual treatment plans for all students.
  • Recognize escalating behaviors and intervene at the appropriate level to ensure safety and security.

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center (MMYTC) is a nonprofit residential behavioral health treatment center serving adolescents with serious emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. Located in Arizona, we provide structured, trauma-informed, and clinically sophisticated care for youth who require intensive therapeutic support. MMYTC staff routinely treat vulnerable youth who have survived abuse, neglect and exploitation in their communities, which provides a unique opportunity for staff to provide life-saving care.
