Job Description:
Parsons has a career opportunity for an entry level Associate Roadway Engineer!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria
  • Develop 3D Models of roadways, using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads
  • Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer
  • May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers
  • Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks
  • Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports
  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
