Job description

New Business Development (Entry Level)

The primary responsibility of the entry-level service sales professional is to sell maintenance agreements to building owners and property managers in the industrial, institutional, and commercial markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Call on individuals responsible for operating HVAC equipment.

Surveys sites for equipment maintenance requirements.

Prepares quotes, proposals, service contracts, and documents to complete a sale.

Provides service, service contracts, equipment, parts, etc. to satisfy the customer's requirements.

Provides needed information to the Service Department to ensure jobs are completed on time.

Enters orders into the system.

Provides project management experience when needed.

Works with Existing Building Sales staff to assist with marketing.

Contacts responsible parties for purposes of securing renewal of service contracts.

Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Regular travel required with occasional overnight stays.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in HVAC; and one to three years related sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. The noise level in the outside work environment is usually loud.

TRAVEL:

This position requires frequently travel inside the local area and occasional travel for training will be outside the local area.
