The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. TEE has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment.
TEE is looking for Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon effector products.
This role is 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
  • Create mechanical test systems used across advanced environments-vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, electro-optical, etc.
  • Build and validate test solutions that deliver high accuracy and reliability in demanding production settings
  • Diagnose production issues and recommend design improvements that elevate system performance

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and two (2) years of relevant engineering experience, OR an advanced degree in related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in mechanical design and/or production support
  • Two (2) years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO / ProE preferred)
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical packaging
  • Experience creating complex drawing or design packages
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Windchill, cPDM)
  • Exposure to Model-Based Engineering or Model-Based Design
  • Experience in areas such as materials, thermal/structural analysis, control systems, electrical integration, or large assembly design
  • Experience with environmental or qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, etc.)
  • Exposure to systems engineering

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
