We are looking for a SolidWorks Design Engineer to support the design and development of equipment across Smiley Lifting Solutions’ operations.
You will produce accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings, working closely with in-house CNC machining, fabrication, service, and compliance teams to deliver build-ready crane and lifting equipment.
This role is suited to a practical design engineer who wants their work manufactured, assembled, and used in real-world operations.

About Smiley Lifting Solutions
Smiley Lifting Solutions is the operating company behind the Smiley Crane and SPYDERCRANE brands. In addition to crane services, manufacturing, and support, we provide engineering, CNC production, maintenance, and servicing, delivering complete crane and lifting solutions.
Our engineering team supports the adaptation, finishing, and compliance of SPYDERCRANE mini cranes for the North American market, alongside the design and manufacture of custom cranes, crane components, lifting platforms, custom counterweight trailers, and non-standard lifting equipment, all supported by a fully equipped in-house CNC machine shop.
Our work is hands-on, safety-critical, and driven by practical engineering for real-world crane operations.
