Description:

We are seeking an energetic, hard-working, and motivated individual who seeks to develop a career with ENGEO as an Entry-Level Accountant. As part of our accounting team, you support senior accounting professionals with tracking and reporting key financial information vital to our ongoing operations and success.


The successful candidate will accurately enter data into our secure database, analyze information trends according to company needs, and compile reports and metrics requested by leadership within the organization. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively to ensure the integrity of financial records while meeting tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing
  • Compile and analyze data sets for relevant patterns and financial indicators
  • Perform internal expense audits and review time and expenses for accuracy
  • Handle office lease and bank reconciliations
  • Process prevailing wage/certified payroll requests
  • Assist with multiplier billing rates in accordance with Caltrans and FAR guidelines
  • Support the team during annual audits and other special projects as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant experience preferred but not required; we value a self-starter with strong ethical standards
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is preferred
  • Ability to perform 10-key by touch is desired
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic computer programs
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Inherent interest in accounting and a strong desire to learn and automate processes
