Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician I - 3rd Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!
The core hours are 11 pm - 7:30 am.
The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour + 10% shift differential.

What you'll do:
This Maintenance Tech will perform routine facilities maintenance, and under direct supervision, perform entry level mechanical, electrical, repair, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
In this role, you will:
  • Perform entry level corrective and preventative maintenance under direct supervision. This includes observing equipment in operation, dismantling equipment to remove and replace defective parts, and adjusting control instruments.
  • Conduct routine machine lubrication, coolant changes, and chip removal per schedules.
  • Assemble devices received in kit form, such as furniture and shelving units.
  • Provide support for other maintenance technicians as directed by leadership.
  • Assist in facilities maintenance projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in maintenance
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) + years of experience in maintenance.
  • Two (2) + years of experience in industrial maintenance, specifically CNC machining, metal working, and welding machines

Skills & Position Criteria:
  • Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives.
  • Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
  • Ability to stand and/or walking for up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts, and hand tools.
  • This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
