Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio company is actively recruiting for a temporary, entry level Business Immigration Paralegal for a hybrid opportunity for a law firm client in Washington, DC.


Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/hour

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3 - 4 months, could convert to a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate

Location: Hybrid, onsite at least 3 days per week


Position Overview

The Business Immigration Analyst supports employment-based immigration matters from case initiation through filing. In this role, you will build knowledge of immigration processes, case types, and client-specific procedures while working with internal teams, foreign nationals, and client contacts to help ensure cases move forward accurately and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of various immigration case types, internal workflows, and client-specific procedures.
  • Support the preparation and filing of petitions and related submissions with government agencies, including gathering supporting documents, reviewing case materials, drafting components of the filing, and coordinating submission.
  • Communicate with foreign nationals and client representatives in a professional and timely manner regarding case updates and general questions, with guidance from your supervisor when appropriate.
  • Manage case deadlines in accordance with service expectations and provide updates to supervisors regarding progress, delays, or issues requiring escalation.
  • Organize, analyze, and summarize case-related data within case management systems for reporting purposes to clients, managers, and team members.
  • Contribute to team and individual productivity goals through consistent, high-quality work.
  • Show initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and compliance standards to reduce risk and maintain data privacy, operational accuracy, and client requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, Paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience in a client-facing, customer service, or administrative support role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality client service in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, meet deadlines, and elevate concerns when necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear correspondence, proofread documents carefully, and produce polished written work.
  • Proficiency with business systems and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive work environment.
