IT Cybersecurity Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid – must reside within commuting distance)
Travel: Occasional travel across Texas to support 29 communities

Join Us as We Build the Future of IT In-HouseWe’re excited to be bringing our IT operations in-house, creating an opportunity for a driven and motivated IT Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team. This newly created role is ideal for someone who is eager to build their cybersecurity career within a dynamic healthcare environment while making a meaningful impact across 29 skilled nursing communities throughout Texas. This is considered an entry level (1-3 years' experience) position. New graduates in Cybersecurity or related field encouraged to apply!

What You’ll Do

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you’ll work closely with internal IT teams and our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to support and enhance our security operations.

Security Monitoring amp; Analysis
  • Monitor systems, alerts, and security events to identify risks and potential threats
  • Assist in triaging and escalating incidents as appropriate
  • Document findings, procedures, and response actions
Security Operations amp; System Support
  • Help maintain secure configurations across endpoints, servers, and identity systems
  • Support system logging, monitoring, and alert validation
  • Participate in testing and implementation of security enhancements
Vulnerability amp; Risk Management
  • Review vulnerability scan results and assist in remediation tracking
  • Validate security updates and document resolution efforts
  • Escalate unresolved vulnerabilities to senior team members
Compliance amp; Reporting
  • Assist with audit preparation and evidence collection (HIPAA and other frameworks)
  • Track and report on security metrics and activities
  • Partner with MSSP and internal teams during audits and incident investigations
Documentation amp; Continuous Improvement
  • Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and process documentation
  • Support automation efforts and basic scripting initiatives
  • Contribute to security awareness initiatives and training tracking
Collaboration amp; Support
  • Work cross-functionally with IT and operational teams to support secure practices
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business and technical needs
  • Provide occasional on-site support at community locations across Texas
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience or hands-on exposure in cybersecurity, IT support, or security operations
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices
  • Familiarity with tools such as endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to document processes clearly and accurately
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures while working independently when needed
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to San Antonio, TX corporate office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent certifications/experience)
  • Exposure to healthcare environments or sensitive data handling (HIPAA/PHI)
  • Experience working with or alongside an MSSP
  • Foundational knowledge of scripting or automation tools
