Digital Consultants seeks a Cybersecurity Technical Specialist III to support the United States Army West Desert Test Center (WDTC) Data Science Division (DSD) Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah. The Cybersecurity Technical Specialist III supports cybersecurity, information assurance, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities for Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) supporting WDTC operations. This position assists with cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability management, system authorization activities, security control implementation, continuous monitoring, and cybersecurity documentation to help maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government systems and data in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, and local cybersecurity requirements.
Duties to include:
  • Support cybersecurity and information assurance operations for Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS).
  • Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security controls.
  • Perform cybersecurity compliance assessments and validation activities.
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and update RMF documentation, authorization packages, and supporting artifacts.
  • Support system authorization, accreditation, and continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Identify, track, and assist in remediation of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and security findings.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security configuration requirements.
  • Assist with vulnerability scanning, assessment, reporting, and corrective action activities.
  • Support Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) development, tracking, and remediation efforts.
  • Support cybersecurity inspections, audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor cybersecurity posture and assist with incident reporting and response activities.
  • Support protection of Government information systems, networks, applications, and data.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, policies, procedures, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with systems administrators, network specialists, application developers, and Government stakeholders to resolve cybersecurity issues.
  • Support configuration management and change management activities impacting cybersecurity posture.
  • Support implementation of DoD, Army, and local cybersecurity directives, policies, and standards.
  • Provide cybersecurity support for testing, operational, and mission requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other related cybersecurity duties as assigned in support of WDTC operations.

Requirements
  • Clearance: Active Secret. If administering classified systems/networks or designated critical-/special-sensitive: favorable T5/T5R and SCI eligible.
  • Certifications: minimum two baseline certs from CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, or HCISPP. Alternate certifications accepted only if approved under the official DoD 8140.03 Qualification Matrix for the assigned DCWF code.
  • Education: HS Diploma
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting cybersecurity, information assurance, or information security operations.
    • Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF), system authorization, and continuous monitoring activities.
    • Experience implementing cybersecurity controls, STIG compliance, and vulnerability management processes.
    • Experience supporting cybersecurity assessments, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
    • Experience developing and maintaining cybersecurity documentation, authorization packages, and POA&M artifacts.
    • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology environments
    • Experience supporting classified information systems, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet environments preferred.
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.
  • Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.
