REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must be "A GO GETTER" with excellent personality, communication skills, sales skills, problem solving skills, the ability to lead and must possess a strong desire to succeed! Excellent spelling, computer, data entry, and the ability to complete tasks effectively, efficiently, and thoroughly with little to no supervision. The Customer Service Representative is expected to PREPARE FOR MANAGEMENT. The company views all customer service representatives as potential branch managers. Customer Service Representatives who receive first consideration for promotion are those who excel not only at their own job but understand the positions of The Branch Manager. A high school diploma or equivalence is required.
JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting The Branch Manager achieve the required results in sales, business promotion, profits, operational collection standards, and tax preparation. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for getting results on their contact work by phone. This mainly consists of making contact via the telephone and scheduling office visits with customers. The Customer Service Representative also must be able to learn all tasks performed within the office and prepare to become a Branch Manager of their own location.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Customer Service Representative plays a very important part in the operation of a consumer finance office. The duties of a CSR are to wait on customers, take applications, investigate credit, take payments, refinance loans, work past due accounts by phone as directed by the manager, send out advertising letters, and complete other duties. Customer Service Representatives must have initiative and the ability to work independently. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation and current liability auto insurance coverage.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Solicit loans over the telephone and at the counter in the office.
ii. Sell all products and services offered over the telephone and in the office.
iii. Answers the telephone, posts customer payments, inputs new and refinanced loans into the loan software system, processes loan applications, and prepares refinance, former borrower and delinquency mail and text messages.
iv. Posts payments, gives customer credit references to inquiring creditors, and credit bureaus.
v. Completes loan documents and closes current refinance loans.
vi. Maintains cash drawer and prepares daily deposits of cash and checks.
vii. Makes telephone collection calls to past due customers and reports activities on each customer to the branch manager.
viii. Adjusts past-due payments for current slow customers.
ix. Participates in training development opportunities as directed by the Manager and District Supervisor.
x. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports.
xi. Assists in achieving tax preparation objectives, prepares, and files income taxes each tax season.
xii. Assists in maintaining standards in all areas of delinquency, loan volume, and growth goals, along with the 10th/20th standards.
xiii. It is the branch personnel's responsibility to consistently achieve company production standards.
