The Gig:

We're on an exciting journey to create the most irresistible travel brand in the world and are building a fantastic team to help make our ambition a reality. Right now we are on the hunt for a super talented 'someone' who has a passion for delivering a best-in-class client experience.

We are on the lookout for a Voyage Service Coordinator to join our crew. This crew member will support in-house reservations and passenger services department. We want to ensure we are delivering the best experience for our sailors and internal crew members - if you lack epic customer service skills and patience, this gig might not be for you....

As we are in start up right now, the one thing you can shore-ly count on is this is a very busy role and that everyday will be different. As a dispatcher, we know you don't mind working with all types of peeps, in fact you thrive on it. You must be able to juggle multiple things at once and be passionate about getting things done the right way so everything runs smoothly.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:

  • Responsible to relay, receive and verify information to and from ships. Report passenger numbers, passenger requests and questions to ships.

  • Contact hotel, transfer and port agent partners for reservations and verify confirmations and invoices.

  • Liaison between Cruise Reservations/Sales departments and ship's staff.

  • Provides timely and accurate information flow and changes to affected departments.

  • Ensure business is accurately booked, communicated and executed in accordance with Virgin Voyages standards.

  • Daily tasks might include handling overflow passenger and travel agency calls from U.S. reservations and group departments.

  • Have team members' back when they are not available.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Superpowers Required:

  • 2 + years of prior dispatch functions/experience within the cruise industry or alike industries.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Must have a professional attitude, presentation and attire.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and computer use.

  • Ability to focus on the company's needs and achieve them. This role is all hands on deck!

  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.

  • Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically (loose lips sink ships!); Upholds organizational values.

  • Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.

  • Possesses confident telephone skills and etiquette - our sailors deserve a smooth-sailing experience.

  • Ability to use and/or learn standard software applications and in-house reservation systems.

  • Must be able to juggle.... Or prioritize, organize and follow-up in a timely manner.
