Job description

Entry-Level Electromechanical Installation Technician

Working from our Billerica, MA facility, you’ll contribute to safe, reliable buses by installing key mechanical and electrical components and supporting repairs that keep fleets on the road.

Role Details
  • Department: Service – Production
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Experience Level: Entry Level
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour; might be eligible for an increase up to $25.00 per hour after 90 days
How You’ll Contribute
  • Install mechanical and electrical components on new builds and in-service buses.
  • Use basic hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, sockets, torque tools) confidently and safely.
  • Follow work instructions, diagrams, and safety protocols to produce accurate results.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks that support production and service goals.
  • Assist seasoned technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Keep your area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Report progress, issues, and materials needs clearly to supervisors.
  • Remain flexible and be willing to work an extended shift when daily production schedule is not met.
  • Cross-train across other production stations to expand your skill set.
What You Need
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude; enthusiasm for working with tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to lift or move components up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable, detail‑oriented, and safety‑focused; willing to learn and take direction.
Helpful Experience
  • Hands-on exposure in automotive, HVAC, carpentry, small engine repair, or similar trades.
  • Vocational courses in mechanics, diesel technology, or automotive technology.
