Entry-Level Electromechanical Installation Technician

Role Details
- Department: Service – Production
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Experience Level: Entry Level
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays
- Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour; might be eligible for an increase up to $25.00 per hour after 90 days
How You’ll Contribute
- Install mechanical and electrical components on new builds and in-service buses.
- Use basic hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, sockets, torque tools) confidently and safely.
- Follow work instructions, diagrams, and safety protocols to produce accurate results.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks that support production and service goals.
- Assist seasoned technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Keep your area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Report progress, issues, and materials needs clearly to supervisors.
- Remain flexible and be willing to work an extended shift when daily production schedule is not met.
- Cross-train across other production stations to expand your skill set.
What You Need
- High School diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude; enthusiasm for working with tools.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems (preferred, not required).
- Ability to lift or move components up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, detail‑oriented, and safety‑focused; willing to learn and take direction.
Helpful Experience
- Hands-on exposure in automotive, HVAC, carpentry, small engine repair, or similar trades.
- Vocational courses in mechanics, diesel technology, or automotive technology.
