Job description

Position Overview
International Motors is accelerating innovation, and our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Elmendorf, Texas, is where ideas turn into real-world breakthroughs. As a fast-paced R&D hub supporting prototype builds, advanced testing, and next-generation product development, the ATC plays a central role in shaping the future of commercial transportation - including electric and autonomous technologies.
We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Entry-Level Engineer to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll support the daily operation of a world-class engineering facility, strengthen our technical capabilities, and collaborate across disciplines to keep our prototype and validation programs running at peak performance. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and seeing the impact of your work every day, this is the place for you.
Responsibilities
Facility Engineering & Technical Operations
  • Support daily operations of ATC's facility, validation areas, and prototype build shop.
  • Support day-to-day operations with a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental compliance - ensuring all activities align with ATC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of engineering equipment - including hydraulic systems, cooling towers, PLC-controlled rigs, chassis dynos, and other test infrastructure.
  • Lead and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs while partnering closely with facility maintenance teams and external vendors.
  • Drive site improvement initiatives by planning, scoping, and executing facility upgrade projects.
  • General labor around facility and other tasks as assigned.
  • Willing to perform duties on-site, not remote.

Capital Engineering & Capability Growth
  • Working with cross functional development teams to investigate needed technologies on-site to support the development, build, and validation of emerging technologies.
  • Investigate, plan, propose, source, implement, and commission turnkey solutions for new site capabilities needed to support the development of market leading products.
  • Support layout design using CAD for equipment, facility planning, and workflow optimization.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills
  • Organized, collaborative, and able to work across multiple teams and projects.
  • Comfortable translating requirements into statements of work and equipment specifications.
  • Skilled at working with suppliers, evaluating technologies, and coordinating capital projects.
  • Capable of installing, commissioning, and validating new equipment and facility upgrades.
  • Familiar with CAD for layouts and equipment design.
  • Eager to learn how to maintain and repair engineering equipment across a range of systems.
  • Proficient with basic Microsoft Office tools.
