Job description

Inventory Controller
 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller for a company based in Baytown, TX. The Inventory Controller will be responsible for maintaining the correct management of Stocks, physically in the warehouse and in the warehouse software. 
 
Pay Rate 
$17.00 per hour 

Schedule and Hours 
Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm

Inventory Controller Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inventory tracking: Use software systems to track inventory, and ensure movement and being used efficiently 
  • Supply chain analysis: Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify issues, and communicate with suppliers about product quality 
  • Forecasting: Forecast supply and demand fluctuations, and plan accordingly 
  • Inventory reporting: Report inventory status and supply chain projections to management 
  • Stock counts: Coordinate stock counts, and reconcile actual stock balance against the stock report 
  • Quality control: Track rates of accuracy, purchase, and return, and defective items 
  • Warehouse audits: Perform regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly 
  • Loss prevention: Implement a loss prevention program 
  • Business procedures: Influence informed decisions on business procedures, such as pricing and stock management the correct management of Stocks
  • Manage several projects simultaneously.
Inventory Controller Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in Inventory control (2 years), minimum 2 years of experience in admin/ops, or bachelor’s degree.
  • Must pass required medical physical
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently, required
  • Ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) 
  • Solve practical problems, interpret instructions, deal with a variety of situations.
  • Have a high standard for Safety & Quality
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (indoor and outdoor)
  • Physical demands: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. (assessment will be administered in office)
