Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Highway Design Engineer in Milwaukee, WI.

Job Details:

  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Perform specific and moderate portion of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests
  • Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
  • Identify discrepancies in results
  • Provide guidance to entry level engineers
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
  • Perform necessary tasks to complete primary design elements for engineering works
  • Manage projects and the projects of entry-level staff
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study and 1 year of experience as a Highway Engineer, Transportation Engineer, or in a related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Highway and roadway design, including geometric design, horizontal and vertical design, intersection design, ramp design, curb ramp design, traffic staging, and permitting
  2. AutoCAD Civil 3D
  3. MicroStation
  4. ProjectWise
  5. AutoTURN Pro
