Job description

Job Summary:
Oregon Health & Science University is Oregon's only public academic health center, leading groundbreaking research and training the next generation of health care professionals. They are seeking a full-time Systems Analyst/Engineer to provide systems analysis, engineering, support, and project management across OHSU ITG technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Provide a broad spectrum of systems analysis, engineering, support, and project management across OHSU ITG technology platforms.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related
• 36 months experience as a Computer Network/ Systems Engineer or IT Engineer
• Cisco Certified Network Associate
• Experience must include Designing, implementing and supporting new systems and infrastructure
• Using one or more formal project management methods
• Supporting large mission critical systems in 24X7 multiple production environments
• 3 years working with Cisco or Juniper systems
• TCP/IP and other networking protocols
• Crash analysis and troubleshooting
• Application installation and configuration
• Enterprise experience with general systems administration (at minimum UNIX and Microsoft), and/or scripting, etc.
• Knowledge of Network Protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
• Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.)
• Network Topologies (Ethernet, Wave Division Multiplexing, etc.)
• Data Communications Equipment (Routers, Switches, WiFi, Radio backhaul, etc.)
• Network Management Tools (Netflow, SNMP, packet sniffing, etc.)
• Premise Distribution Systems (Fiber, Copper, etc.)
• Security Toolsets (VPN, Firewalls, advanced ACL methods, Auditing Tools, Intrusion Detection, etc.)
• Using accepted Change Control management processes
• IT security best practices and processes
• QOS methodologies and practice
