Job description

Shift and Time: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays)
Wage: $29 - $38 an hour
Summary:
  • Maintain an organized and efficient shop environment to support daily operations and equipment readiness.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders in coordination with leadership to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles and construction equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components on trucks and trailers.
  • Mount and balance tires while ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Manage tool and parts inventory to minimize downtime and keep equipment operational.
  • Coordinate and communicate repair progress, schedules, and equipment status with management.
  • Provide backup support for freight and material deliveries between North Dakota and Minnesota branch locations.
  • Assist with yard organization and maintain awareness of equipment, materials, and tool storage locations.
  • Participate in ongoing safety, product knowledge, and operational training sessions.
  • Support field crews by ensuring vehicles and equipment are reliable, allowing projects to be completed on time and to high-quality standards.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Prior experience repairing/maintaining 1-ton diesel trucks, skid steers, small engines, and trailers. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to complete repairs in a timely manner. Computer skills required, and ERP experience beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
  • Required to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
