Job description
Requirements:
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years. On-site presence will be as required by the FAA.
- Foundational knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and design.
- Understanding of semiconductor devices, power electronics, and signal processing.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board design principles and layout fundamentals.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters).
- Understanding of grounding and bonding.
- Basic troubleshooting of electronic assemblies and subsystems.
- Ability to support electrical engineering tasks under senior engineer guidance.
- Ability to pass an FAA background investigation.
 Responsibilities:
Technical Documentation & Communication
- Ability to write clear, structured technical documentation including:
- Engineering analysis reports.
- Test procedures and test reports.
- Configuration documentation.
- Standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Engineering change documentation.
- Strong verbal communication skills for technical briefings and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear explanations for non-technical personnel.

Field & Operational Support
- Ability to take and support field service calls.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting support to field technicians.
- Document incident findings and corrective actions.
- Support remote and on-site system diagnostics.
- Participate in after-hours or mission-critical support when required.

Core Electronics Engineering Competencies
- Solid foundation in circuit theory, power systems, grounding, and signal integrity.
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system block diagrams.
- Structured troubleshooting methodology (root cause analysis, fault isolation).
- Understanding of system integration principles (hardware, firmware, and software interaction).
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and electrical best practices.
- Ability to support electrical engineering tasks in lab, field, and production environments.

Core Programming / Software Competencies
- Experience with programming in Python (2 and 3), C, and C++.
- Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation.
- Working knowledge Windows, and UNIX and UNIX-like Operating Systems (AIX, Linux).
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of the software development process.
- Proficiency with computer operating systems, software, and hardware with proven ability to debug complex systems and to conduct reviews, audits, and testing.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
- Experience with networking protocols and technologies including TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, and VoIP.
- Experience working in a team environment.
