General Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Staking CAD Technician to use CAD software like AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center to create and manage construction layout plans, ensuring accurate placement of buildings and infrastructure based on survey data and designed documents.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating Construction Staking Point Files: This involves converting survey data into digital points that can be used for on-site layout.
  • Generating Construction Layout Drawings: Creating detailed plans that show the precise location of buildings, utilities, concrete structures and other infrastructure elements.
  • Working with Survey Data (Autocad files supplied by the client}: Processing and interpreting survey data to accurately represent the site conditions and project requirements.
  • Ensuring Accuracy and Quality: Checking for errors and inconsistencies in the drawings and ensuring they meet project standards.
  • Collaborating with Engineers and Surveyors: Working closely with other professionals to ensure that the construction layout plans are accurate and meet the project's needs.
  • Using CAD Software: Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential for creating and managing construction layout plans.
  • Understanding Construction Layout Principles: Having a strong understanding of construction layout principles and techniques is crucial for creating accurate and usable plans.
  • Maintaining Project Documentation: Keeping accurate records of survey data, drawings, and other project-related information.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring staking and ensuring trades are paying attention to staking provided.
