Position Overview
Quick Wrap, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Structural/Civil Engineer or Engineering Intern to join our growing team in Tucson, Arizona.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design and application of advanced Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) systems used for repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure. Projects include marine structures, piles, foundations, seawalls, bridges, industrial facilities, and other structural rehabilitation applications.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and will gain practical engineering, field, project management, and client-facing experience while contributing to innovative infrastructure solutions throughout North America and internationally.
Primary Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the candidate will:
- Assist with engineering design and technical assignments involving FRP repair and strengthening systems
- Prepare engineering drawings, plan details, sketches, and project layouts
- Perform engineering calculations, quantity take-offs, and structural evaluations
- Assist in preparation of material take-offs and cost estimates
- Support development of technical specifications, engineering reports, and project proposals
- Review vendor drawings and submittals for compliance with project requirements
- Assist in reviewing design drawings and engineering calculations within defined project limits
- Prepare technical reports, case studies, and project documentation
- Participate in field inspections, testing, and measurements as required
- Collect, organize, and document field data
- Support proposal development and project management activities
- Assist in communication with clients, engineers, contractors, and government agencies
- Support efforts to obtain product approvals, specifications, and inclusion on approved product lists
- Apply creative problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to infrastructure rehabilitation challenges
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- Candidates currently pursuing their degree may be considered for internship opportunities
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, BIM (Building Information Modeling), or similar engineering software is preferred
- Previous internship, co-op, research, or project experience involving government, commercial, municipal, industrial, or residential projects is beneficial but not required
