LAZ Parking is one of the largest and fastest growing parking companies in the country. LAZ operates hundreds of thousands of parking spaces across the country. When it comes to parking, we're the experts!
We are also a PEOPLE FIRST company. We often say "parking is our industry but people are our passion." Our mission is to "create opportunities for our employees and value for our clients". The Spirit of the Position
The Marketing & Communications Intern/Associateis an entry level role, ideal for someone with a genuine interest in building a career in marketing and communications and looking to gain hands-on experience across brand, events, and internal and external communications. While this is initially a 6-month commitment, we're looking for someone who's excited about the possibility of growing up with us long-term. This could be part time or full-time. You'll get direct exposure to how a national marketing and communications function operates, working alongside our Communications, Creative, and Growth teams. This is a chance to build real skills across brand, events, and communications early in your career, with the opportunity to grow into a larger role if it's the right fit for both sides.
Key Responsibilities
  • Help route and problem-solve inbound inquiries through our website, including customer complaints and potential new business leads, making sure the right requests reach the right people quickly
  • Support event management and coordination, including logistics for tradeshows, conferences, and internal events
  • Support internal communications, helping keep employees informed and engaged across the company
  • Handle administrative ordering needs such as business cards, swag, and event materials
  • Flex into design and copywriting support as interest and skill allow (Canva experience is a plus, but not required)

Skills:
  • Bring a tech-savvy mindset to the role, with a bonus for comfort using AI tools to work more efficiently
  • A natural interest in marketing and communications, with a desire to learn the fundamentals in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple small projects at once
  • A clear communicator, both in writing and in person
  • Resourceful and proactive, someone who's comfortable figuring things out rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do
  • Comfortable with (or curious about) design tools like Canva and AI tools that can support marketing work
  • Available to commit to at least 6 months, with openness to a longer-term path if it's a mutual fit

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential duties/functions.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
