TheSenior Manager, Communications & Change Managementis a key contributor within theOperational Readiness team under the UM Center of Excellence, responsible for leading change management and communications for highimpact initiatives acrossUM Innovation, automation, and operational enablement.

This role owns theendtoend execution of change strategy and communicationsfor select initiatives. They will translate complex process and technology changes into clear, actionable communication materials that enable leaders and operations teams to successfully adopt new ways of working. The Senior Manager operates with strong crossfunctional influence, and handson delivery responsibility in a fastpaced, matrixed environment.

Core Responsibilities

Communications Strategy & Delivery

  • Develop, own, and execute communications plansthat support operational readiness and innovation initiatives for UM COE and UM Innovation
  • Create and manage multiple communication channels and assets including executive messaging, toolkits, presentations, videos, roadshows, and training materials
  • Translate complex strategies, automation efforts, and technical designs into clear, compelling messagingthat drives awareness and adoption
  • Develop and maintain core communications materials such as key messages, executive briefings, fact sheets, and campaign plans
  • Support special initiatives through strategic presentations, executive engagement support, and authored contentacross internal channels

Stakeholder Partnership & Influence

  • Partner closely with UM Innovation, operational readiness leads, business support teams, and technology partnersto align communications and change activities with project delivery
  • Influence stakeholders across levels and functions without direct authority, balancing competing priorities and perspectives
  • Serve as a key CVS-Aetna Communications liaison, ensuring effective coordination, reporting alignment, and content optimization across platforms

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and develop communications team members through coaching, prioritization, and feedback
  • Use qualitative feedback and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in communication reach, standards, tools, best practices, quality, effectiveness, and colleague experience

  • Stakeholders clearly understandwhat is changing, why it matters, and how it affects their roles
  • Communications and training enable smooth adoption of operational and technology changes
  • Leaders and operations teams demonstrate readiness at implementation milestones

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ yearsof experience in a corporate or healthcare environment, supporting complex, crossfunctional initiatives
  • 7+ yearsof communications experience, including4+ years focused on communications strategy
  • 2+ yearsof change management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable messaging
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing without authority
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and presentation (PowerPoint) capabilities
  • Executive presence, strong judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ yearsof experience in healthcare or large corporate environments
  • PROSCI certified
  • Experience supporting innovation, automation, or systemenabled change initiatives
  • Experience in events, social media, consulting, or communications agency environments

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Masters Degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
