Job description

Dantanna's Server Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY: Communicates with and assists servers to maintain service efficiency. Maintains cleanliness and removes dirty dishes and utensils from table, clears tables after guests leave. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and utensils to dishwashing area. May assist servers in serving tables with beverages such as coffee or tea, rolling silverware, and other duties.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house including all tables, chairs, floors, walls, windows and rest rooms.
  • Assists in restocking dining room with silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and maintains adequate supplies in the work stations when dining room is opened.
  • May prepare beverages required for service, including coffee, and iced tea.
  • Communicates with host/hostess and servers to maintain service efficiency.
  • May assist servers in serving tables during rush periods.
  • Assists in removing dirty dishes and silver from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to dishwashing area, sorting silverware, glassware and other items, placing them in the prescribed area for proper disposition.
  • Will perform any restaurant function as needed.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION:
  • Entry level position.
  • Must possess a friendly, outgoing, courteous, service oriented personality.
  • High School degree preferred, but not required. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop on occasion, and be able to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length.
  • Must have the ability to lift trays, soiled dish bins, etc., of up to 40 pounds in weight.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other associates.
  • Must wear slip resistant shoes at all time while working.
