Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their network engineering team. In this role, you'll be designing, implementing, and maintaining a varied network spanning the globe, ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized network connectivity across a distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
• Experience with WAN optimization, application performance monitoring, and network security
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, EBGP, EVPN, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and firewall policies
• Knowledge of cloud networking, hybrid cloud architectures, and integration with public cloud providers
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• HS diploma or GED
• Experience with SD-WAN platforms in enterprise or large-scale environments
• Experience with automation tools and scripting for network configuration, such as Python and Ansible
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus or Grafana, and ELK
• Knowledge of EVPN, EBGP, and other Control or Data plane protocols
• Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes
