Process Mechanical Engineer

We provide full-service engineering, procurement and construction management services to industrial process manufacturers that operate in pulp & paper, chemical, consumer products, power, heavy industrial, and food & beverage markets. WHAT YOUโ€™LL BE DOING:
In this position, youโ€™ll join a dynamic engineering team in the execution of client projects. This person will execute process designs primarily within the consumer products industry that includes the investigation and analysis of data to make sound process design decisions aligned with company, client, and project objectives. Youโ€™ll be expected to apply theory in a practical context to determine feasibility of design, identify potential process upsets and malfunctions incorporating appropriate remediations, and apply commercially available technology for process execution. Perhaps most importantly, we place a high value on professional ethics, both in the application of codes and standards and in your interactions with our clients.
YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND:

  • B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
  • Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFDโ€™s, P&IDโ€™s, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
  • Knowledge of typical chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, interactions with materials of construction, and proper design considerations.
  • Fluency with AutoCAD and Fathom.
  • Understanding of fluid control valves and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.
  • Great customer relationship skills/management experience.
  • Preferably on-site, in plant, and startup experience
