AMSOIL INC. is currently hiring a 2nd shift Chemical Laboratory Technician! This role is key member of our chemistry team, reporting to the Chemical Laboratory Director. Primary responsibilities of this role are to focus on quality control and document management for the testing of all raw materials and finished products. In addition to supporting QC testing, you will also work closely with other Chemists and Formulators to enable the preparation and evaluation of experimental formulations and used oil samples, and provide support to instrument maintenance and calibration, chemical inventory, and needs within the lab.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Run required QC protocol on incoming raw materials and finished products to verify conformity to specifications. Assist in resolving non-conformities.
  • Interpret and document test results accurately. Maintain organized lab records and reports.
  • Perform basic maintenance on lab equipment. Troubleshoot and perform maintenance as necessary, calibrate and verify equipment following lab SOPs.
  • Perform laboratory testing of experimental formulations & competitive products. Support blending and packaging of experimental formulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Work with team to ensure lab is properly stocked, glassware is cleaned, and waste streams are handled in accordance to policy.

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a lab environment
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or closely related science
  • Interest in Lubricant Science, Automotive or Industrial Equipment
  • ICML or STLE Certifications
