Job description

VCG is searching for an expert Cerner Bloodbank Validation specialist for a mostly all remote project to validate one of our client's Oracle Health Millennium PathNet Blood Bank Transfusion system, as outlined below:

  • Perform Validation Preparation
    1. Create Master Validation Plan as required by the FDA and other regulatory agencies
    2. Provide Risk Assessment linking Client-specific validation test scripts to regulatory standards
    3. Perform System Review comparing design of system with current blood bank regulations, blood bank best practices, and Client-specific policies and procedures
    4. Create Test Script Content Review with detailed list of test objectives
  • Prepare and execute Client-specific validation test scripts
    1. Tier 1 - High risk workflows and potentially fatal consequences, including the following:
      • Computer Crossmatch (if enabled)
      • Correct Inventory - Demographics
      • Dispense and Assign
      • Final Disposition
      • Flexible Specimen (if enabled)
      • Interpretation pattern verification
      • Modify Products
      • Patient Combines with impact to blood bank
      • Patient Product Compatibility
      • Printer Verification (upon request)
      • Receive Products
      • Result Entry - ABO/Rh and Antibody Screen
      • Result Entry - Product Results
      • Result Entry - Serologic Crossmatch

    2. Analysis and Conclusion
      • Report all issues or anomalies
