We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Cable Technician with a foundational understanding of networking to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who have basic experience or training in structured cabling, low voltage systems, and networking concepts. Under the guidance of experienced technicians and project leads, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cabling infrastructure across commercial and/or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 network cables and coaxial/fiber optic cabling systems.
  • Assist with the setup of network equipment including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Label and document cable runs and network drops according to project specifications.
  • Support team in troubleshooting connectivity or performance issues.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory on-site in good working condition.

Qualifications:
  • 0-2 years of experience in cabling, low voltage, or IT support roles.
  • Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, routers).
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints or wiring diagrams is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in crawl spaces as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.

Nice to Have:
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, BICSI, or OSHA 10/30.
  • Experience with fiber splicing or surveillance systems.
