Job description

We are looking for an entry level log timber worker to join our team!

Are you a self-motivated, hard worker with a passion for log construction? Top Notch Logworks is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Log Construction Laborer in Gypsum, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the construction of high-quality log structures in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be expected to take initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic. You should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team, following directions and completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential qualities for success in this role.

The ideal candidate for this position is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle any task that comes their way. You should be physically fit and able to perform the duties required of a log construction laborer, including moving heavy logs, using power tools, & working in various weather conditions. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are also important qualities we are looking for in a candidate.

Schedule: 8-10 hour day shift, M-F. 40 hrs/ Week

Duties:

Production

o Following a bid & plans to fabricate & install log structures

o Controlling costs and supporting crew lead to complete jobs at or under quoted hours

o Fabricating and installing rail, deck, and, log structures

o Maintaining site & yard organization throughout the work day

o Follow outlined job processes to complete jobs according to company standard

o Learn about tools & log products for their correct use and/or application

o Organize and produce work on the jobsite in cooperation with co-workers

o Layout job in an efficient manner based on bid

Self-Management

o Maintain an understanding of crew’s current projects and workload

o Be professional and develop professionalism in others

o Communication is key – fix any breakdowns in communication between parties

o Assess completed job report actual numbers against job estimates. Identify potential reasons for failure/success on various sections.

o Interact with clients to ensure their satisfaction

o Reinforce site conditions so clients understand we value their space

o Taking site photos before, during, and after jobs to provide a unified understanding of the site.
